Specialist, Corporate Communications

Hart, an independent marketing and advertising agency with two locations in Ohio, is seeking to add a key role to its Public Relations function through the role of Specialist, Corporate Communications.


  • Provides support to at least one of the agency’s flagship clients
  • Collaborates closely with greater PR team on client communications programs, including media relations, social media, and content development
  • Sources, develops and edits many forms of content for communications efforts on behalf of the client
  • Identifies expansion of content efforts and can take the lead on development of those assets
  • Experimental in social media approach, alongside a steadiness in channel management
  • Assists in the building and maintaining of key client relationships
  • Represents work in client meetings and can lead topical, brainstorm sessions
  • Actively participates in the agency’s editorial team
  • Identifies and presents opportunities based on channel and can represent results based on those opportunities
  • Collaborates, across integrated services and teams


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or equivalent experience; 1-3 years of experience preferably in an agency environment
  • Expert storyteller, with strong ability to create compelling narratives
  • Media relations experience with proven media coverage results, ability to build media lists, draft pitches, and report on coverage
  • Fluent in social posting/listening software and analysis
  • Highly results driven, with knowledge of various PR metrics and measurement methods
  • Strong ability to work independently, and communicate via virtual/remote channels
  • Passion – in writing and concepting ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience creating digital content
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and time management skills, particularly in virtual settings
  • Ability to appropriately obtain and utilize reference material to generate and communicate original ideas effectively
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
