Project Manager

Responsible for leading the execution of projects, and the creation of the project plan. He or she owns the process inception to completion, including participation in budget determination, creation of project schedule, managing resources for deliverables, raising red flags as issues arise and ensuring adherence to the approval process.

Responsibilities

  • Works with account and team leads to develop the scope of work based on functional and business requirements
  • Develops, implements and manages the project plan, staff plan and creates the budget
  • Day to day management of the project from initiation through implementation and deployment
  • Communicates status of project to the team and client on a regular basis
  • Tracks and reports project run rates and financials
  • Contributes to the creative process by assessing feasibility of the proposed solutions and recommending new technologies
  • Monitors and communicates project risk, dependencies and mitigation accordingly
  • Ensures changing resource and project requirements are communicated to all members of the project team, and that the changes are understood by all members of the team
  • Ensures proper change management documentation is executed as scope increases or decreases or project priorities shift
  • Oversees the project team’s activities to guarantee overall quality of work and ensures the project is delivered on time and on budget
  • Keeps well-informed on all accounts’ activities, thus anticipating trouble (internal or external) or client dissatisfaction and takes steps to remedy any such situation.
  • Provides prompt, well-thought-out decisions in response to project demands
  • Partners with business operations team to ensure efficient, effective and profitable management of the business
  • Assists in the development of Communications Plan program initiatives

Requirements

  • College degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field preferred
  • 3+ years project management experience- preferably from a traditional advertising agency setting
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft project and all Office applications
  • A self-starter able to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure and multiple deadlines
  • Must have the ability to handle a large volume of projects, varying schedules and budgets in a deadline-drive environment
  • Ability to manage internal processes, communicate project needs and obtain results in an ever-changing environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully to a wide range of internal and external partners
  • Forward thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management and proofreading skill
  • Must be deadline and results driven
  • Superior project management, communication, and organizational skills are required
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills as well an articulate, friendly, “whatever it takes” attitude, along with a strong work ethic. Must possess high energy and a solid confidence level.
