Careers

Account Services Intern (Paid)

Position Summary

Our account people are full of it. “It” being life! They’re bold, bright and bohemian. Actually, when you’re in a room with Hart account people and creatives, it’s hard to tell them apart. They can be just as loud (and in one particular case, even louder). And you – the account services intern – will have your voice heard too. You’ll work with the account team to assist in developing and executing awesome integrated marketing campaigns. You’ll get involved with research, analysis (metrics and the Freudian kind), developing project timelines and trafficking work through video, creative, PR, media, digital, production and planning departments to ensure successful, timely and profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Incoming or graduating senior at an accredited four-year college majoring in advertising, marketing, business or a related field (so something like culinary arts wouldn’t qualify)
  • Written and verbal communication skills strong enough to cut through the din
  • Strong attention to detail (did you notice the redundant use of the word “strong”?)
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines – we have fun, but we get the work done
  • Passion for marketing; passion is the oxygen of great marketing

Responsibilities

You’re on the hook for the following:

  • Making sure our deliverables get delivered when they’re supposed to
  • Keeping us and the client up to speed throughout the project with status reports, memos and good conversation
  • Keeping up-to-date on client, competition, industry business and agency gossip through trade publications, newspaper articles, literature and water cooler chitchat
  • Completing a capstone project – a crowning achievement that takes our breath away

Other duties include taking care of the senior account executive’s laundry and washing his or her car. We’re kidding. Not even sure that’s legal. But you will be asked to perform other activities and responsibilities considered reasonable in terms of the scope and spirit of this job description. (All other terms and conditions of employment with Hart will be governed by the employee manual.)
