Best of Show Among Awards Earned by Hart Associates at the 2008 Crystals

Hart Wins an Additional Eight Crystal Awards and Nine Merit Awards

MAUMEE, Ohio – Hart Associates, the leading integrated marketing and communications firm in Northwest Ohio, was recognized 18 times by the Toledo Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communication (AWC) at the 2008 Crystal Awards ceremony, held November 19.

Hart earned a Best of Show award in the corporate category for its client project, the Root Learning brand brochure. The AWC granted a Best of Show award in both the nonprofit and corporate categories. The winners were selected from all entries received in every category.

The Root Learning brochure is a wire-bound piece that features a unique woodgrain-textured cover and distinctive elongated shape. From its vellum section dividers to its “sample work” pockets, great effort was made to ensure every detail of the piece illustrated the Root Learning brand.

“As with every project developed by Hart, the creative process begins and ends with the client’s brand and mission at top-of-mind. The Root Learning brochure, as well as the additional 16 recognized pieces, is an outstanding example of that dedication to detail,” said Mike Hart, president and CEO of Hart Associates. “Being recognized by the AWC 18 times is a true honor and one the Hart Associates team plans to uphold by creating more outstanding projects in 2009.”

Hart received an additional eight Crystal Awards and nine Merit Awards for a variety of client projects.

Hart’s eight winning Crystal Awards included “New Doors Opened,” an annual report for ProMedica Health System; a 20th Anniversary radio campaign for Paramount Health Care; the Root Learning brand brochure; “Compass,” a Root Learning product brochure; depuyorthopaedics.com, a DePuy Orthopaedics website; RootsofEngagement.com, a Root Learning microsite; a La Z-Boy website TV commercial video player; and a hospice print ad series for ProMedica Health System.

The nine merit awards given to Hart include: “Mom Was Right,” a hospice TV spot for ProMedica Health System; the ProMedica Health System hospice campaign; the ProMedica Health System hospice TV campaign; “Stars,” a radio spot for ProMedica Health System; a 20th Anniversary TV campaign for Paramount Health Care; “Live United,” a TV spot for United Way; “Feels Like,” a radio spot for Anne Grady Services; “Compass,” a direct mail piece for Huntington Insurance; and “On Course for Kids,” a print ad for Owens Corning.

The annual Crystal Awards have been honoring Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan communications professionals since 1982. Entries are received in the following categories: photography, writing, television/radio, design, collateral materials, advertising, public relations, industry self promotion and digital media.
