The RGP has been instrumental in promoting economic growth in Northwest Ohio, particularly within the field of solar energy. Not only is the region attracting noteworthy businesses like First Solar and Xunlight, it’s attracting the attention of major newspaper editors across Ohio through a tour conducted by Hart Associates.

To generate publicity for the region, and to use it as a model to talk to other cities in Ohio about their own solar capabilities and resources, Hart set up meetings with the editors of all the major newspapers across the state, securing an article in Cleveland’s The Plain Dealer.
