“WUT R U W8ING 4?” That’s the question we posed to Lottery players in Ohio to remind them to play the Mega Millions game. Our challenge was to convey this message: waiting to play until the jackpot reaches $80 million and beyond is a bit absurd, because even the lowest jackpot of $12 million would be a more than sufficient win for most of us.

So the question became, “What are you waiting for?” And we asked it via text messaging, television, radio, outdoor and in-store signage, as well as through online and social media.

In the 15 second television spots, we targeted people at key moments throughout their day, reminding them to pause and think that they could be just a dollar away from realizing their dreams.
