MAUMEE, Ohio – Hart Associates, the leading integrated marketing and communications firm in Northwest Ohio, has received six iNova Gold awards for demonstrating excellence in building corporate websites.

iNova is an annual international awards program that recognizes outstanding work in professional communications. Winning entries are given a gold, silver, bronze or honor distinction. Hart earned six gold awards for its work in creating websites and web applications for the following clients: La-Z-Boy, DePuy Orthopaedics, ProMedica Sports Care, Lake Erie Regional Cooperative, Root Learning and GenFlex.

“Building a goal-oriented and user-centered web experience is an important part of how our clients are doing business today,” said Mike Hart, president and CEO of Hart Associates. “I’m proud of our talented interactive team, but even prouder to see the results our clients achieve as they go to market with a web presence that sets them apart from their competition.”

Hart’s winning La-Z-Boy web application, www.la-z-boy.com/commercials, was created as an interactive space for La-Z-Boy to deliver its TV commercials to online viewers. The application also provides a simplified way for viewers to share the commercials with others via e-mail or social media sites.

The DePuy Orthopaedics website, www.depuyorthopaedics.com, was a redesign of DePuy’s existing orthopaedics site. Hart’s work included information architecture, content planning, interface design and Flash animation.

The website created for ProMedica Sports Care, www.promedicasportscare.org, was a redesign of an existing site. Hart’s work included home page animation and an overall restylization of the site.

The Lake Erie Regional Cooperative (LERC) website, www.lercnet.org, was a redesign of the existing LERC site. Hart’s work included content planning, user experience design/interface design, animation and development.

The Root Learning, Roots of Engagement website, www.rootsofengagement.com, was created to provide an interactive promotional site for the book, The Art of Engagement: Bridging the Gap Between People and Possibilities, written by Root Learning CEO Jim Haudan. Hart created the site and then integrated it with the existing Root Learning corporate site.

The GenFlex website, www.genflex.com, was a complete redesign of the company’s existing site. Hart created an online experience to help GenFlex relaunch its brand and also provide users easy access to product information.

All of Hart’s gold-winning projects are eligible for the iNova Grand awards and the Best of Show award, which will be announced December 15, 2008.

2008 marks the eighth year for the annual iNova Awards program, sponsored by MerComm, Inc., a group founded in 1987 with the goal of advancing the arts and sciences of communications in an international arena. The judging panel comprises top Internet professionals from around the world, including web designers, site builders, creative directors, graphic designers, communications managers and presidents and CEOs of agencies responsible for corporate websites. Entries, submitted from nearly 40 countries, are critiqued on concept, content, creativity, ease of navigation, design, functionality, interactivity and overall success in achieving company goals.
