Problem
The La-Z-Boy website, la-z-boy.com, and all its key features (e.g., store locator, promotions) weren’t easily accessible on mobile devices.

Insight
Through our monitoring and analysis, we discovered that mobile traffic to La-Z-Boy’s website was increasing. Coupled with the fact that smart phones were becoming more and more prevalent, Hart recommended that La-Z-Boy create a mobile website.

Solution
We created a mobile website based on the redesigned la-z-boy.com. To do so, we had to translate content for targeted devices and platforms. So, we refined copy and content to be more concise for optimal mobile viewing. And we integrated key aspects, such as store locator, product search and share functionality. We also measured usability and overall traffic using Google Analytics.

Result
We’re happy to report, as is our client, that overall hits to the website increased, as did the number of mobile devices using the website. For instance, before the launch, .012% of traffic hit the site via mobile device. Since the launch eight months ago, that number has jumped to more than 275,000 visits (5% of site traffic). In total, there have been 1.9 million page views and over seven page hits per visit.
